Now, for those who care, an update on what I like to call life.

Camp has finally ended and sent me back to glorious Missoula, where my dorm room makes up in friends what it lacks in storage space.

I am at last in another poetry class, hopefully it will get the pen moving again, in an even more productive way.

Also being a sophomore I can finally take beginning photojournalism.
As great as this is, it’s also meaning I have to re-teach myself, and break all my old bad habits, that I had taught myself. Luckily I have a super good support system. (Insert goofy happy face here.)

Fencing is back in full force and I am now playing with the big kids, and damn are they beating me up. It’s fantastic! Three different beautiful blades all taking their turn in my hand.
The noobs are terrifyingly abundant.
I am all for the popularization of fencing but dear bananas what the hell sparked such an interest suddenly that our club is flood with twenty to thirty faces I’ve never seen before, all seemingly eager to join us. How I am I supposed to gear them all?

Life has mostly remain busy, only now it is more unorganized.

I have plenty of complaints about the new living space that I’m thinking will never feel like home. Starting with the sink being so far away, that I am far too inclined to just let my dishes mold.
I’m beginning to adjust to the massive lack of storage space, that isn’t large enough to accommodate my abundant amounts of crap. I figure I’ll get organized just in time to move out.

But in any case I am ridiculously happy. I love this place.

One camp down, one to go.

My real name seems foreign and I’m ready to go home.

I finally got a session I was really excited to do only to realize that in conflicted, at the end, with going home for a good friends wedding. That I already purchased the plane tickets for.

Boundary Waters I hope to canoe you another day. But I don’t know when that will be.

I never get enough sleep
I miss taking pictures
I’m sick of little kids
I want to talk at a normal volume
And I want to sleep and shower where the bugs aren’t
I miss fencing

I’m glad we’re getting this break, I think we all really need it.

I know I’m really burnt out.

Let’s hope things perk up quick.

Perhaps I just need more coffee.

The summer has begun, and I find myself in a beautiful part of Minnesota.

I am living in a large un-happy looking cabin without electricity for the next four(ish) weeks. I have 3 other roommates and my pretty purple telephone can’t get any service.

I’m washing my laundry in the staff shower room next to the pool and I am lucky I have the internet in this very nice staff lounge.

The pretty golf cart keeps taunting me but I am still two years too young to drive it by Girl Scout policy.

The cotton just keeps falling.


Yes, I am at Girl Scout camp. Tomorrow we get campers.

I’m scared. But excited.

It’s crazy to be back at a Girl Scout camp after 7 years even though it isn’t even remotely like the camps I went to as a camper.

I’m tired but pleased, however feeling out of touch with everyone. I’m glad I still have the internet as communication with the outside world since snail mail is so slow.

I haven’t showered in 3 days. Don’t worry I plan to do it in the morning before the girls arrive. It means I have to get up earlier than I really need too, but I don’t want to take one now.

(I’m not sure how coherent this all is.)

It’s beautiful here I hope I will be able to get some good pictures to share!

So I am doing something that is against my personal deviant usage rules. I am going to upload a lot of pictures at once.

Really I am. I hate it when one person clogs my inbox.

But I haven’t had time, I have time now, and probably won’t have it again until Christmas.

On the bright side, I’ve been getting a lot of practice!

So as of late I have been learning night photography.

I think I am kind of starting to get the hang of it. Kind of. At least I now have a tripod so I can do long exposures. More practice is needed, and probably will be gotten.

I have some pictures I am considering putting up. Want to be sure I really like them first though. Sometimes the excitement from the initial download can be misleading.

So I have just added one that I really like. Go look! Go! (Bossy aren’t I?) I made it part of the photo challenge I started like a year ago… that I realize I am cheating a little on because I take the picture and then decide I think it fits one of the themes… heh. But I say I can do what I want.

Life is good.

Ever changing. So MANY new experiences in such a short amount of time. Flying by.
